Welding Gases

Oxygen: Used primarily for oxy-acetylene welding and cutting, and sometimes mixed with other gases for MIG and TIG welding.

Acetylene: Commonly used in combination with oxygen for oxy-acetylene welding and cutting, known for its high-temperature flame.

Argon: A shielding gas widely used in TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) welding and for aluminum welding. It's also often mixed with other gases for MIG (Metal Inert Gas) welding.

Carbon Dioxide (CO2): Used as a shielding gas in MIG welding, either alone or mixed with other gases like Argon.

Helium: Often mixed with Argon for welding materials with high heat conductivity like aluminum and copper, and for certain stainless steel processes.

Nitrogen: Sometimes used as a purging gas in high-purity and high-strength pipe welding.

What Our Customers Say...

Mid Michigan Supply went above and beyond for our recent project. We had several issues to work through that required specific tools and our experience with their tool rental business could not have gone better. Any time I had questions or was looking for a tool that could get done the most recent problem they were able to help with recommendations. Ryan was more than willing to help with any questions I had and very knowledgeable about the tool’s applications. They will have my business in the future. Here are a few pictures of what renting a few specialized tools can result in. Could not have done it without them.
